Our site is nearly back to its normal state after a major disruption, sorry for any inconvenience but there are still some issues being ironed out. Thank you for your patience.
I came across a link to your website while I was on the internet a while ago and immediately had a scroll through all the information, signed up as a member and ordered a copy of your book, "How To Be Mortgage Free in 4 Easy Steps". I purchased my first house in Perth 12 years ago. About 5 years later I refinanced my mortgage to buy a unit in Perth and I have recently just built a new house in Queensland. All of these are investment properties, as I did my sums early on and figured that I was best to rent a place to live in and then rent out my properties. I suppose the thing that surprised me the most after reading. How to be mortgage free in 4 easy steps was that I actually did not have to change a single thing. I was already doing exactly what your book suggests! My 2 Perth properties are P&I loans which are 100% offset. Mt Queensland property is Interest only and I live and pay all my expenses on credit card and then pay that balance at the end of each month. As I have refinanced loans to buy more property, I have never actually become mortgage free, although I now have other people paying off the majority of my loans. People always seem to ask me how? And I always reply, "how can you not?" But still most people do not understand. I have not had to work any harder or sacrifice to have these investment properties and I am not on a huge wage either. What I do know is that I actively seek as much information as possible about my mortgages and investments and actually have an interest in them and I would really like to retire by the time I am 40, which is about 10 years away. I plan to buy more properties in the future, although at the moment I am diversifying by trying my hand in the stock market. What I have noticed is that there are many people out there who either do not understand enough about their finances or are just too scared or naive to want to learn more – when it is only in their best interest to! So although I was already on the path to being mortgage free by putting into practice what you said in your book, I do hope many more people get the chance to read your book or look at the website so they too can start on the path towards financial freedom.

If we ever need more money or to refinance I would not hesitate to call my mortgage coach to assist us once again. It was so very helpful having someone there to do our loan for us. If we ever had a query and could not get hold of him immediately, he would always call us straight back so we were never left waiting. What was also reassuring, is that our mortgage coach explained everything in simple terms so we understood exactly what we were doing and the whole process seemed to happen very quickly which is always an added bonus!
